Meet "Rio" - 15hh Buckskin Dun 2002 AQHA stallion. He not only sires a high number of dun foals, he sports some of the hottest, proven names in his pedigree. Rio is a grandson of Doc O' Lena (NCHA Futurity Champion; 1997 AQHA Hall of Fame); Miss Money Rio (LTE Cutting $149,907, Certificate of Ability); and Heza Real Playboy. Found on his papers are Freckles Playboy (1977 World Champion, NCHA money earner); Doc Quixote (1973 Open Non-Pro Futurity Champion, NCHA Hall of Fame sire, NRCHA Champion sire, World and Reserve Champion sire); Doc Bar (NCHA Hall of Fame, Leading Sire and Maternal Grandsire of World and NCHA Champions); Poco Lena (NCHA Hall of Fame, 174 Halter points, 671 Performance points). Also, some greats such as: Three Bars, King, Poco Bueno, Lightning Bar, Joe Reed, Triple Chick, Hollywood Gold, Sugar Bars, The Ole Man are also found in his pedigree. Plenty of champions! has not yet been started under saddle as he had been used exclusively as a
breeding stallion prior to his arrival at Saddle Ridge. We will be starting
